Pinochet has lost power and has been forced to accept a citizen plebiscite that will decide his fate as head of state. The Patriotic Front does not believe in the legitimacy of the process, and Rodrigo is preparing the National Patriotic War. Cecilia and Rodrigo plan a trip to a rural village in southern Chile, where they will initiate the revolution of the people. Before traveling, Cecilia visits her family, bids farewell to her daughter, confident that she will see her again, and together they will be able to live in a free and just country.

Three months have passed since the assassination attempt on Pinochet. The members of the Patriotic Front who participated are scattered and hiding in different parts of the country. Rodrigo, along with his comrades, must decide whether to surrender or continue forward without the support of the Communist Party. Bareta and his boss, Colonel Castilla, have moved ahead of them and are planning a simultaneous attack on several safe houses where they know members of the Patriotic Front are hiding. Their main goal is to find Commanders Tamara and Rodrigo.

The group of guerrillas, led by Cecilia, Ignacio, and Rodrigo, prepares for the attack. They are holed up in the house in the Maipo canyon. Everything is timed. Cecilia will lead the attack alongside Ignacio. The night before the assassination attempt, Rodrigo makes a decision that will affect his relationship with Cecilia.

The country is preparing for a national strike called by Pinochet's opposition. Cecilia has settled into a house in the mountains with Fabiola and "Tarzan," the latter responsible for planning the attack on Pinochet. Cecilia goes to see her family before starting the operation. Bareta progresses in his investigations, endangering the Front's mission. Rodrigo and Ignacio recruit their most loyal soldiers to carry out an attack against the tyrant.
