Watch The Silent Service (2024)

In the freezing northern seas, a nuclear submarine begins its deep underwater voyage to the tune of Mozart. The Yamato, whose name stands for world peace, heads for the United Nations headquarters in New York. While approaching the Bering Strait bordering the United States and Russia, another submarine slithers up from behind: a state-of-the-art nuclear submarine of the US with capabilities that overwhelmingly dwarf the Yamato. Meanwhile, in Japan, the Yamato is at the center of debate as the House of Representatives is dissolved for a general election. If the Yamato sinks, the election's outcome is set in stone. Now, a battle commences among the cracking floes of the cold Arctic Ocean.
