Father Camilo, the El Milagro parish priest, prays for the arrival of the seminarian he has requested from the archdiocese. God sends him Rogelio Pataquiva Tocasuche, a thief with a missing front tooth but plenty of bite, who is on the run from El Jetas, the dreaded delinquent from whom Rogelio has robbed a big-money cache of stolen goods, which includes the gold teeth belonging to El Jetas' father.
