Richard decides it is time for a new woman, but his eye-catching dating profile mainly attracts gold diggers. His granddaughter Jessica sees the problem and, together with Trisha, gives him a complete makeover, new clothes, better photos, and a profile focused on art and the environment. The matches pour in, and Jessica organizes dates around the food truck where she works so she can coach him. She even whispers what to say through an earpiece, but due to all the chaos and interference from Trisha and Virgil, things don't always go smoothly. Meanwhile, Laura becomes increasingly interested in her mysterious neighbor, which makes Erik insecure. He tries to improve himself to compete, but remains skeptical about the stories surrounding the new neighbor.

Things aren't running smoothly yet with the new employee, Soufian, in the garage. Mozes is too self-absorbed, and Erik feels responsible for the atmosphere. On Richard's advice, Volkan decides to take the team on a team-building trip. Erik, Soufian, and Mozes leave reluctantly, fearing some airy-fairy nonsense. It turns out to be completely different; a tough instructor with a military background puts them to work immediately. Running, push-ups, and taking a rubber boat to an island, it feels like a real guys' outing. But it soon gets tough: an ice bath, a mud run, and other extreme challenges take their toll. The atmosphere changes, and tensions run high. Instead of growing closer, conflicts arise, and everyone tries to get out of their own way. Meanwhile, Jessica and Virgil are pimping up a food truck outside, and Daan is doing odd jobs for Ali again.

By saving hard and doing odd jobs on the side, Daan finally has enough money for his dream: the coolest, ridiculously expensive shoes ever. While waiting impatiently at Laura's for the delivery person, he sees a homeless man, Paul, wearing broken flip-flops. Without hesitation, Daan gives him his own shoes. Laura thinks it's sweet, but realizes that Daan now has only one pair left, and he has already thrown the rest away. When the package arrives, it turns out to be a disaster, no dream pair, but hideous Clocs. His old shoes have vanished into the dumpster, out of reach, so he must go into the neighborhood in the Clocs to look for his real order. Everyone laughs at him: his walk of shame. Until a popular neighbor is wearing the exact same Clocs. Suddenly, everyone is in doubt. Is this the latest trend? Without Daan realizing it, the Clocs become wildly popular. Work is piling up in the garage, and even Volkan has to pitch in. When Laura happens to drop by with a package and effortlessly works on a car, her skill is immediately apparent. This creates new tensions, especially for Erik, who notices that he is starting to see her differently and doesn't know how to handle it. While Daan takes over Laura's delivery service to earn some extra money for his new shoes, he immediately turns it into his own clever side hustle. With additional services, he attracts more customers, and his plan turns out unexpectedly well. Meanwhile, Jessica faces a tough challenge at the sandwich shop when an inspection visit comes at exactly the wrong moment. Although Virgil has hygiene perfectly in order, a persistent problem with the premises throws a spanner in the works. Jessica tries to cleverly salvage the situation, but it quickly spirals uncomfortably out of control.
