Both Worlds, which has its headquarters in Cape Town, came about in 1998 as a producer and distributor of entertainment content meant for markets in South Africa. The head founder of Both Worlds is Thierry Cassuto, who also is involved with their award winning production, Puppet Nation.
Both Worlds has been involved with all kinds of entertainment venues for its customers, including movies, games, live sports, documentaries, videos, concerts, and TV. One of its biggest successes is an award winning satire called ZANEWS, which was later renamed as PUPPET NATION, the only satire puppet show in South Africa.
The Puppet Nation show appears on TV and is a puppet show that started in 2008 that comes on every day and features mock newscasts that are shown online at zanews.co.za, on YouTube, on DVD, in the comics and on TV. The show has a motto of “Laugh About It. Talk About It.” It has won three SAFTA awards and three Golden Horn awards for Best Ensemble in a TV Comedy, Best Editors of a TV Comedy and Best Art Direction of a TV Comedy.
Both Worlds also produces all kinds of digital and TV content for South Africa and helps to raise local funding for its worldwide customers. All in all, Both Worlds works hard to produce and discover new programming for its audience, as well as helping producers and directors in South Africa get their content out in the public eye.
