Marburg is in a frenzy! The legendary Chaos-Pendulum is back. The ride where Maria and Ralf almost met years ago. Maria runs a book stall at the fair and, once again, clashes with Sophie and Johanna Augustin. Meanwhile, Ralf is preparing for his band's big gig with Jochen, Jochen and Jochen. Maria and Ralf travel to Cologne. Ralf accompanies his daughter Lily to her new shared student flat and helps her renovate her new room. After the scandal at the wedding, Maria flees to the cathedral city to talk to the publisher about her book idea. After a promising start, however, the conversation takes an unexpected turn. At the same time, Ralf is surprised by his feelings. Even if he didn't want to admit it to himself for a long time: The events of the last few weeks have left their mark. After this day, Maria and Ralf finally try to relax over a drink. A night with fateful consequences.

Nikki gets cold feet before her wedding to Max. Maria wants to make sure that they get married anyway. Not least so that she can finally put an end to her affair with Max and concentrate fully on her career as an author. Shortly before the wedding ceremony, the two have a clarifying conversation - with fatal results... Lotta organizes the funeral for Schopenhauer. Ralf finds out that Max is cheating on Nikki and runs off to stop the wedding. Ralf is actually able to help Nikki, but in a completely different way than expected.

Ralf is on the lookout: who is the mysterious stranger who always writes on his car? His suspicion falls on a dog sitter, with whom he strikes up a conversation - in the end, Ralf not only has a date but also a dog. However, Ralf's initial euphoria abruptly fades when he finds out more about the stranger. Especially as there is a bigger problem with the dog than he could see before. Maria has waited long enough: she finally wants Johanna's opinion on her book and confronts her. When Johanna's feedback is not what she had hoped for, Maria gets carried away with a little act of revenge. However, this has disastrous consequences. Maria finally vents her anger to dog trainer Hakan. The two make a date to talk. But their evening together turns out very differently than planned.

Maria is invited by Nikki for a day at a modern wellness center, the "Holistic Healing Hatzfeld". Nikki is desperate to reconcile with her before her wedding. The two are not the only guests from Marburg that day. After Ralf jumped off the brink of death once again, he has resolved to become a new person. And where better to do that than in a wellness center? While Ralf and Jochen face a dramatic firewalk, Maria tries to avoid a serious conversation with Nikki. Will the two of them FINALLY run into each other?

She receives unsolicited psychological advice from Hakan, her dog trainer. At the end of the day, Maria plucks up all her courage and demands an explanation from Max. Ralf gathers his whole family for a big dinner to tell them the bad news.

It is only when Lily and Lotta persuade Ralf to approach a woman that the evening takes a surprising turn.

And then, on her way home on her bike, Maria gets stuck in a parked car that has been parked very inconveniently. She takes her anger out on it - not knowing who it actually belongs to...
