Rusty is an introverted yet highly intelligent young man, who dedicates most of his time tinkering with his computer systems from the comfort of his bedroom. His skills in programming are phenomenal, and he has managed to build a computer that can simulate quantum mechanics on a rudimentary level.

Things take an unexpected turn when Rusty is recruited by a well-known tech startup run by charismatic CEO Kyle Banks, portrayed by American actor Kyle Banks. The company is specialized in enhancing human intelligence by developing a procedure that allows information to be directly implanted into the human brain.

Rusty is tasked with developing the software that will run this cutting-edge technology. He must work with a team of other top-notch programmers to create an interface that can facilitate the smooth communication between the human brain and the implanted software. As Rusty dives into the project, he discovers that the technology that he is developing could be used for sinister purposes.

Throughout the series, Rusty's programming skills are put to the test as he tackles issues with the software and hardware components of the implant. Kyle, on the other hand, seems to have an agenda that goes beyond the creation of the device, and Rusty is forced to grapple with the moral implications of working on the project.
