Dexter: Resurrection, a new series from Paramount+ Premium, picks up weeks after the shocking events of the finale of Dexter: New Blood. The show finds Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) awakening from a coma after suffering a near-fatal gunshot wound. Upon regaining consciousness, he makes a devastating discovery: his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), has vanished without a trace. Haunted by the guilt of his actions and determined to make amends, Dexter sets off on a desperate search that leads him to New York City.
The move to the sprawling, unforgiving metropolis of New York marks a dramatic shift in the series' tone and setting. No longer in the quiet, isolated world of Iron Lake, Dexter is now in the city that never sleeps, where hiding in plain sight takes on a whole new meaning. As he navigates this urban jungle in search of Harrison, he realizes that the past he tried so hard to bury is quickly catching up to him. His old life in Miami comes knocking in the form of Detective Angel Batista (David Zayas), who arrives in New York with a series of questions that threaten to unravel everything Dexter has worked to conceal.
This new chapter delves deep into the fractured relationship between Dexter and Harrison. As a father and son, they must both confront their own inner darkness and the homicidal urges they share. Dexter, driven by a need for redemption, is determined to guide Harrison and prevent him from following down the same bloody path. However, this is easier said than done, as Harrison is struggling with his own guilt and a powerful, instinctual desire for violence.
The series introduces a chilling and fascinating new element to Dexter
