"The In Crowd" is a coming-of-age picture detailing the painful existence of Del, a talented dancer who just wants to fit in with the hip and cool world of stage dancing. When Del has the chance to show off his dancing skills arm in arm with the beautiful Vicky, a dancing ace who attends private school, he enters into a dysfunctional romance with the young starlet, proving that being part of the in crowd is not always all it's cracked up to be.

Del ultimately needs to weigh fitting in at the expense of his own dignity or following his heart, even if it means being stuck in 1960s Philadelphia while his dreams of becoming a professional dancer pass him by.
