"Storm" was born out of a tumultuous break up and was inspired by weather elements, such as rain, thunder, and lightning, which are key words in the song and are depicted in the video as thematic elements of sudden change of weather in one's life, whether that be emotional or physical. The theme of the video is seclusion, and ultimately, self-love.
