DoxBo is a digital media channel based in Los Angeles, California. It produces television shows and films in the comedy and news genres. The comedy section is often scripted, though some live shows are presented as well. The news section features anchors and various guests who inform the audience on current events in a form of satire. The company was founded 2010 by Dexter Huxtable when he found a small sneaker in his room from an old roommate. For some reason, this moment caused him to laugh hysterically and he swore that he would create similar moments for others from that day forward. Originally, the channel was only shown on local stations, but since the beginning it has grown to include markets all around the world in over 7 countries and 5 languages.
Shows on the network include Barbershop, Writer's Dream, and Cone Express. Writer's Dream, for instance, is about a novelist from New York City who moves to Los Angeles in order to pursue a new career opportunity. He has to struggle to adjust to the new way of living, as California is very different from the culture of New York. He drives fast cars, sleeps with various women, and has parties that force his career outlook to dwindle. He must rescue himself or risk losing his family. However, the themes are comedic throughout, as various character dynamics and dialogue are played out in a hilarious way. The show debuted in 2012 and is set to receive another season.
