Waiting List is a thrilling and dramatic series from FILM.UA, set in a dystopian future where society is divided into two classes - those who live inside the walls of the city and those who are forced to live outside in the barren wasteland. The show follows a group of people who are placed on a waiting list to become citizens of the city, and their struggles to survive in the harsh conditions of the outside world while they wait for their chance to enter the utopian city.

The main character of the show is Yegor, a young man who is determined to make it onto the waiting list and become a citizen of the city. He lives outside the walls with his mother and a group of friends, and they struggle to find enough food and shelter to survive. Yegor is a skilled hunter and scavenger, but he is also plagued by a sense of hopelessness and despair that is common among those living on the margins of society.

As Yegor and his friends wait for their chance to enter the city, they encounter a variety of challenges and obstacles. They must navigate treacherous terrain, fight off dangerous predators, and avoid run-ins with the city's security forces. Along the way, they also encounter other groups of people who are also waiting for their chance to enter the city, and they must decide whether to work together or compete against each other for scarce resources.

The show does an excellent job of creating a sense of tension and suspense throughout. The viewer is constantly on edge, wondering if Yegor and his friends will be able to survive and make it onto the waiting list. The harsh, barren landscapes of the outside world create a sense of isolation and desperation, and the constant threat of violence from other groups of people adds an extra layer of danger.

One of the strengths of Waiting List is its strong cast of characters. Yegor is a compelling protagonist, with a mix of toughness and vulnerability that makes him easy to root for. His friends are also well-drawn, with distinct personalities and motivations that drive their actions. The show does an excellent job of exploring the relationships between these characters, and their struggles to maintain their humanity and compassion in a world that seems determined to crush them.

Another standout aspect of the show is its world-building. The city itself is a fascinating creation, a gleaming utopia that seems almost too good to be true. The show does an excellent job of slowly revealing the inner workings of the city, and the secrets that lie behind its seemingly perfect facade. The contrast between the city and the outside world is stark, and the show's dystopian vision of the future feels all too plausible.

Overall, Waiting List is an excellent series that combines thrilling action with insightful social commentary. The show's strong cast of characters, gripping storyline, and detailed world-building make it a must-watch for fans of dystopian fiction and speculative drama.
