Vampire Island is a 2010 live action fantasy, horror film from director Kim Tae-gyun that was expressly based off of the manga series, Higanjima (Island of Red Spider Lillies). The plot of the film revolves around a group of youths headed by Akira Miyamoto whom journeys with her friends to the mysterious island of Higanjima to find her missing brother. The island is rumored from folk legend to be inhabited by ancient vampires and the group quickly discover that these particular rumors happen to be true.
