This is an educational documentary television show. It follows a wood sculptor on his quest for Koa wood. Brad Sells is a sculptor and his medium in this show is wood. He wants to use the wood of the Koa tree for its color, tone and density for his next showing. He travels from his workshop in Tennessee, to Hawaii, to procure this wood.

The focus of this show is on the conservation of materials and the artistic process of wood sculpting. Sells meets with experts in wood, conservation and art history as he seeks the pieces he needs to create his next gallery showing.
