Watch The Newbees - A Band & A Van

The Newbees return to the Ohio valley and head north east of Cincinnati to Nowhere Else farm, home of the iconic band Over the Rhine.

It's a race against time to get home as The Newbees wind their way through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado down to visit Denver, Clinton State Park in Kansas and Columbia, Missouri.

The Newbees head into the most colorful part of their cross-country journey as they visit Utah & Colorado. After a exploring Zion, Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks, Jeff & Misty head for Colorado where forest fires have devastated much of the landscape.

Overheated in the California desert with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees F, The Newbees head to cooler temperatures in Las Vegas, Lake Mead, the Virgin River Gorge and Zion National Park.

The Newbees explore the diverse beauty of California including Sonoma, San Francisco, the Sierra Nevada mountains, Sonora Pass and Death Valley. In addition to catching up with old friends, Jeff & Misty catch up with musicians Rolly Devore, Ona Stewart and pay a visit to Willy Tea Taylor at Dying Breed Brewing in Oakdale, CA.

A Band & A Van finally hits the Pacific Ocean. The Newbees pay a visit to Rogue Origin, right on the Rogue River in Oregon to jam with Willy Tea Taylor and Ray Vietti of The Harmed Brothers. After a live stream concert recording for Willy Tea, Tommy Alexander, TK & The Holy Know-Nothings, Jeff and Misty then head down The Pacific Coast Highway to Redwood National and State Parks in California.

There is no better place to be socially distant than the Silver Island Range in Utah. With a generator hidden behind a boulder, a mic hanging from the review mirror and guitar amp in the back of our van, we begin recording some serious rock & roll. Destinations include Bonneville Salt Flats, UT; Wendover, UT; Denio Junction, NV and Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge, NV.

The Newbees explore the wonders of Wyoming and revisit a ranch that Jeff stayed on as part of a middle school exchange program 32 years ago. Wyoming destinations include Devils Tower, Thunder Basin National Grasslands, Two Creek Ranch in Douglas, Casper and Wyoming Highway 220.

Miles of beautiful landscapes await The Newbees as they explore the sunny state of Minnesota and endless diversity of South Dakota. Destinations include Great River Bluffs State Park, MN; Palisades State Park, SD; Badlands National Park, SD; and the Black Hills mountain range, SD.

The Newbees head to the suburbs of Chicago to sing songs of protest with Cathy Richardson of Jefferson Starship.

The Newbees begin planning an epic road trip by building a foundation of songs with local musicians in Cincinnati, Louisville and Madison, IN.
