52. Basil's promise

Basil, who has promised Rosie to go with her to find a rare leaf, hears Scoutbadger doubting his ability to keep his promises. To reassure Rosie, Basil decides to do even better than his promise, he will bring his daughter the most beautiful of rare leaves. Unfortunatley, he has problems and cannot make the rendezvous.
51. Berry gives the game away

Woodsy has had enough of Berry telling the parents when he does something he shouldn't. Following Loudo's advice, he devises a good way to stop this tale-telling. Now, when Berry tells tales about him, no one will believe her... But is this really a good idea ?
50. The medal

So that his snack and game party is a success, Scoutbadger starts to do all the things that had been allotted to the others. He says he does things better and faster - even if it is not true. The others decide to let him get on with it. When he realises that he has forgotten his own task, that of inviting their friends, Scoutbadger realizes that he has gone too far.
49. The secret friends

Scoutbadger is angry with Martis who prefers to play a game with Loudo. Scoutbadger hates this game and wants his friend, his very best friend, not to play it and spend more time with him.

Grandpa Fox invents a scary story for the children. But the children become scared for real and decide to lay a trap for the nasty monster who is supposed to appear and drag them away by the feet... When it comes to the shivers, Grandpa will not be the only one to be scared.
47. Teamwork

As part of their feuding, the Tomcats want to lay a trap for Rosie and shut her in a cave. However a rock blocks the entrance to the cave, trapping the 'prisoner' Rosie and her 'kidnapper' Sourpuss together. The children from both sides will learn that, faced with a major event, they must stop their 'war' and co-operate to free everyone... including their favourite enemies.
46. The sunset of sweethearts

It's lovers day in the forest. While Margaret and Edmund are wondering what gifts they can give each other, Scoutbadger and Rosie are intrigued by Woodsy's behaviour. He seems to have a secret that they are determined to disover.
45. Rosie's bell

Rosie has the habit of keeping everything they find, which annoys her brothers. Then the boys find an object that Rosie lost and do not want to return it, using her favourite principle of 'finders, keepers'.
44. Woodsy the wimp

Woodsy tried to take some honey from the bees and they chased him. He got such a fright that he no longer wants to leave the burrow. His brothers and sister will do everything they can to help him over his phobia.
43. Berry's friend

When Rosie, Scoutbadger and Woodsy are busy with their friends, Berry realises that she does not have one of her own. So, when she finds a twisted little branch that looks a bit like an animal's face, she calls it Cherry, says that it is her friend and brings it in to be part of the family. However, Berry's artificial friend starts to take up a little too much room.
42. Martis' laugh

Martis has a very distinctive laugh and this becomes an attraction for his friends - until the moment that the joke no longer makes him laugh at all.

The sure way of stopping the arguments between Rosie and Scoutbadger is that Rosie's parents get back together... at least that is what she will try and arrange.
40. The flying badger

The parents leave 'for an adventure' and the children decide to have some 'big adventures' too. For Scoutbadger and Rosie this means going far from the burrow while for Woodsy it means building some wings so that he can fly. But perhaps these big dreams are just a little too big ?
39. Lost with nothing to lose

Grandpa Fox is teaching Rosie and Woodsy how to find their way in the forest. The lesson becomes more difficult when Grandpa disappears. In order to find the way back to the burrow, Rosie and Woodsy will have to put into practice what they have learned and, above all, stop quarrelling.
38. The forest ball

The badger-foxes have to quickly organize the forest dance. This mainly consists of starting off the dancing. Edmund does not know how to dance and tries to find ways of getting around this problem. The children will do everything they can to help him so that Margaret, who loves dancing, will not be disappointed.
37. At loggerheads

Today Grandma and Grandpa are going to look after Berry and the twins while Rosie goes fishing with her father. However, the grandparents quarrel and Grandpa decides to go with Rosie. Mamie is pleased, they'll have a better time without him. But as the day goes on, Grandpa and Grandma become increasingly sad - they miss each other. The children think up a plan to bring them back together.

Berry is annoyed with Edmund as he does not want to play at skittles with her. She decides to change fathers. Accompanied by Rosie, she wants to find out what her friends' fathers are like.

The children set out to find a treasure that Grandpa and his best friend hid in the forest a long time ago. And the long time is the problem as Grandpa's clues are no longer very accurate.
34. The grown-up life

Martis wants to leave, like his older brothers before him. Scoutbadger says he would like to go along too. The boys will find out that they are not yet quite big enough to play the adult.
33. Woodsy the Champion

Rosie,in order to beat Scoutbadger in a race, entrusts her precious necklace to Woodsy. However she does not fully trust him even if he does swear to look after it well. However, the Tomcats decide to steal the necklace. In order to get it back and prove to Rosie that he deserves her trust, Woodsy gives in to the Tomcat's blackmail and even takes some foolhardy risks.
32. Woodsy's secret

Woodsy is desperately trying to do do something that requires calm and concentration but his intrusive family make it impossible. The more he tries to be on his own, the less the others leave him alone as they are very curious to find out what he is up to.
31. The woodland rumour

The children have been left alone in the burrow and have made a mess. To avoid being told off, they say that a wild animal caused the chaos. The rumour spreads through the undergrowth and creates a panic that only the truth can stop.
30. A baby! Are they crazy?

What if Edmund and Margaret's secrecy means that they are going to have a new baby? This is bad news for Rosie as what will her place be now?
29. The slug hunt

When foxes lose a canine milk-tooth, there is a little initiation ritual - 'the hunt for the little slug'. Berry is delighted to show that 'she is big now' but her brothers are rather jealous that they were not initiated when they were little. Edmund is very worried and wonders if it is really necessary that his 'little sweetheart' takes some risks.
28. The magic chestnut

Over by the river, Berry finds a magnificent, shiny stone. This fascinates Scoutbadger who is determined to get his hands on it. He tricks his sister into exchanging, in secret, the stone for a 'magic chestnut' that grants wishes. But the wishes Berry makes do not seem to be coming true.
27. Rosie's instinct

It is well known that foxes have very developed instincts. Rosie decides to use them to resolve the mystery of the missing nuts. However she forgets to use her brain too and her certainties cause her problems, especially when she starts unjustly accusing certain friends.
26. Frenemies

The Tomcats now consider Rosie as their 'enemy Number 1' instead of Scoutbadger. Blinded by rivalry, Scoutbadger is fooled by the cats who turn him against the fox so that they can steal a game of skittles. Our two heroes will finally join together to get back the skittles, especially as these belong to Woodsy.
25. Friend's night in

As Woodsy is going to sleep over at Loudo's, there is a spare place in the burrow. Rosie wants to invite Biva but Scoutbadger wants to invite Martis. Edmund, who does not like it when things get too boisterous, says only one friend can come. Scoutbadger and Rosie quarrel over which one can invite their best friend.
24. Fair and square

Grandpa Fox has brought some elderberries for the children. Unknown to the others, Edmund swallows one and then learns that the number had been calculated so that each child received the same amount of berries. Edmund slips away to find another elderberry.
23. What a performance

Rosie, Scoutbadger, Woodsy and Berry decide to put on a show for their parents. They make a little theatre but Scoutbadger wants to control everything and thinks he is a star. His team quits and each one goes off to rehearse an act alone. Woodsy will juggle with plums, Rosie will walk on stilts and Berry will do acrobatics.
22. Imaginary invalids

As the family are gathering in food for the winter, Berry becomes ill and is the focus of her parent's attention. Her brothers and sisters, who would rather laze around instead of sorting redcurrants or nuts, notice this. Now, one after the other, they all fall ill... with much playacting.
21. Martis in charge

Scoutbadger is detained by Edmund and asks Martis (his best friend) to take their group of friends to the hazelnut tree that Martis spotted from the top of his tree. It is full of nuts and they must collect them before the village Tomcats beat them to it.

While their parents are absent, Scoutbadger, Rosie and Woodsy have to agree on the next family outing. Rosie and Scoutbadger quickly have different suggestions. Each tries to persuade Woodsy to vote for their idea.

The children want to give their parents a portrait of them which is much more flattering than reality. But aren't imperfections part of what we like about others ?

Scoutbadger still has a soft toy, however this morning it is not in its usual place at the bottom of the bed. Scoutbadger has to find it but how can he search without revealing what he is looking for and perhaps having the others make fun of him?
16. My brother's keeper

Woodsy has gone camping with Loudo and his father and Scoutbadger finds himself alone. Unexpectedly, Scoutbadger is unsettled by his twin's absence. He is sure that being twins creates a special link between them and now 'senses' that Woodsy is in great danger. He wants to find out what is happening.

Rosie has promised to accompany Biva to her exam. However, the very same day, her father Basil arrives unexpectedly.

Pico and Rosie do not agree with the day's plans made by their respective families. Pico dreams of having some independence while Rose wants calm and attention. They decide to change places.
13. Woodsy the hero

Woodsy is suffering from not feeling appreciated enough by the forest children. It is always Scoutbadger who does extraordinary things and gets all the recognition. Woodsy is hurt and decides to pull off an exploit - to bring back the scarecrow's hat and so be finally acclaimed a hero.
12. A good night's sleep for Rosie

Rosie would like to spend a night alone, without Berry. Edmund and Margaret suggest that she sleeps, just for one night, in the guest room. Berry is not happy about this and asks her brothers for help.
11. Baby sitting

Grandpa and Grandma have come to look after the children. In the afternoon, Grandma goes for a walk in the forest with Scoutbadger, Rosie and Berry. Grandpa stays in the burrow with Woodsy who thinks he is going to have a quiet time but things turn out to be more hectic than he had anticipated.
10. Good as gold

Thinking that Margaret is going to move out, the children decide to go into training to become 'good children' as they think their numerous quarrels have provoked Margaret's decision.
9. Biva's secret

Rosie talks too much. She has told the twins that her best friend, Biva, is going to meet Loudo. The two brothers are extremely excited at the news and decide to spy on the two children. This is a catastrophe for Rosie - unless.
8. The night out

Scoutbadger has been invited to sleep over at Martis's home and, for once, has to ask his father for permission instead of asking Margaret as he usually does. However, Margaret is not there today and Edmund is in a very bad mood.
7. Walking with Basil

Scoutbadger goes for a walk with Rosie and her father, Basil. During the walk, Scoutbadger discovers that the flamboyant Basil, who tells him stories that fire his imagination, is more at ease with the tales he tells than with reality.

It's Mother's Day when all the mothers get together to talk about their daily lives and the community. Meanwhile, the fathers and children prepare them a pleasant evening along with some surprises. Rosie has decided to mark the occasion with a lovely sculpture for her mother but things do not turn out quite as expected.

Scoutbadger has made a bet with Pico that his father, Edmund, who never gives the children any lessons, will be there tomorrow. He has, of course, been a little hasty as, for Edmund, this is out of the question.

Rosie wants to give her brothers a surprise afternoon snack in the forest. She needs Lucien, Loudo's father's help. He will accompany them to the wild bees' nest that she has found. However, Berry's unexpected presence will threaten Rosie's plans.

Woodsy's latest collection is made up of a staggering 345 pine cones that he has hidden in the guest room. Edmund is furious and asks his son to find another place for his collection. After several unsuccessful attempts, Woodsy finally chooses Loudo's underground burrow. Just when he thinks he has found the perfect place, he gets a big surprise.

Rosie and Biva have found a superb burrow that Rosie's father could use when he visits the area. The only problem is that Scoutbadger and Woodsy have also discovered it and Scoutbadger would like to make it into a games room.

Every year, the great inter-burrow games sees the children of the forest competing in a series of events. Each family must choose someone to represent them. It is difficult for our composite family (Fox-Badger) to chose a child, especially when Scoutbadger and Rosie both want to participate.
