49. Little Brown Bear And The Babysitter

This evening a babysitter is coming to look after Little Brown Bear. Which he's not at all happy about. But then he gets to know Ourseline, who knows all sorts of fascinating things to do. Result: when Mummy and Daddy Bear come home late that night, they find the little bear sound asleep next to the modelling dough animals that clever Ourseline made.

Little Brown Bear is at home with Mummy Bear and he gets bored. His mummy suggests a helping game. That makes Little Brown Bear laugh. But he's so clumsy that Mummy Bear gets annoyed and Little Brown Bear is discouraged.

It's the start of the holidays. Little Brown Bear gets his backpack ready. And they're all set to go except that the cat has disappeared. They look for him everywhere. He's nowhere to be seen. They'll just have to wait but suddenly Little Brown Bear sees the cat comfortably installed on the rear windowsill of the car.
44. Little Brown Bear Doesn't Want His Afternoon Nap

It's time for dinner. Little Brown Bear doesn't want to eat his soup despite all the games Daddy Bear invents to help it down. Voices are raised, and Little Brown Bear is told to go to his room if he doesn't want to eat. But he comes back and they make a bargain: five spoonfuls of soup and he can have his pudding. It's a deal, and the meal ends happily.
41. Little Brown Bear Plays Tricks

Little Brown Bear plays with his cat: he gives him some flowers, the cat tears them up. He takes him into the bathroom, and wants to get into the bath Mummy Bear is not amused.

This morning, Little Brown Bear is hot and grumpy and wants to stay in bed. The doctor comes. To reassure him, the doctor examines his favourite toy first. That makes Little Brown Bear laugh. The doctor says his throat is infected. Mummy Bear sees the doctor out, while Little Brown Bear, who feels better already, goes to get an ice cream to cool his throat down!
38. Little Brown Bear Goes Fishing

Little Brown Bear and his parents are picking mushrooms. They stop for a rest and Little Brown Bear finds some big rocks. Full of courage, he climbs up. When he gets to the top he's really proud, but then he can't get down! When his daddy comes to the rescue, he jumps into his arms.
36. Little Brown Bear Gets Ready For Christmas

Little Brown Bear helps his parents prepare for Christmas, but he gets things wrong and is told off. His daddy tells him about the shoes they put under the tree. Little Brown Bear polishes all his shoes - his way - which doesn't please Mummy Bear. Little Brown Bear and his daddy decorate the tree.
35. Little Brown Bear Is Too Fond Of Sweets

Mummy Bear gives Little Brown Bear some sweets - but he'd like more! The doorbell rings. A neighbour is giving back the vacuum cleaner. As a "thank you", she gives them a tin of sweets that she hands to Little Brown Bear. He takes care of them while the mummies talk. As Mummy Bear finds out when she sees the box, and when Little Brown Bear feels sick at dinner time.
29. Little Brown Bear Starts School

Little Brown Bear starts nursery school today. It all goes well: his mummy goes with him to the classroom and he meets up with Little Grey Bear who he knows well. When his mummy comes to fetch him at noon, he's enjoyed his half-day, but he's happy to spend the afternoon at home.

Little Brown Bear and his parents arrive at the seaside. He's full of enthusiasm. But a lot less when it comes to going in the water ... He prefers making sand castles with Daddy Bear. When a big wave comes and demolishes the castle, Little Brown Bear is sad. His daddy suggests a game of ball. And when he runs after the ball, Little Brown Bear discovers what fun it is to go into the sea!
23. Little Brown Bear Is Having A Tea Party

Little Brown Bear is having a tea party in the garden with his cousin Little Red Bear. They both feed the doll with grass and pebbles. Then they decide to get some real food. They pick little tomatoes and find some blueberries and scoff them as they play. Till Mummy and Daddy bear come and explain gently that it's really not a very good idea!
22. Little Brown Bear Spends The Night At His Cousin's

Tonight Mummy and Daddy Bear are going out. Little Brown Bear is going to spend the night at his cousin's. Which doesn't make him happy, and it's very hard to say goodbye. But then Little Brown Bear discovers that his cousin has put up a tent in his room. They have a great time together. And when it's time to put out the lights, Little Brown Bear has his torch in his bed.
21. Little Brown Bear Makes A Friend

Little Brown Bear meets Little Black Bear in the square. They get to know each other and play in the sand together. Then they have a race round the slide. And then Little Black Bear falls over. It's not serious, but Little Brown Bear is so upset to see his new friend cry that he cries too. It all ends well, and Little Brown Bear is happy to have made a new friend.
20. Little Brown Bear Wants To Dress Himself

Mummy Bear has put out Little Brown Bear's clothes. But he doesn't like the ones she's chosen. She's quite happy for him to choose some others. But unfortunately he chooses summer clothes and it's autumn and a stormy day. So little Brown Bear finds a compromise: he puts on his summer clothes over his winter ones!
16. Little Brown Bear Makes Some Snowballs

It's been snowing. Little Brown Bear goes out to play and meets Little Grey Bear and Little Beige Bear. They play in the snow together. Then they are hit by snowballs. They each think the others are throwing the snowballs till they find out it's really Daddy Bear. Then there's a snowfight with all the little bears against Daddy Bear.
15. Little Brown Bear Gets Lost At The Market

Little Brown Bear goes to the market with his daddy. They buy vegetables and fish ... and then Little Brown Bear sees a cat and follows it. But he loses sight of the cat he can't find his daddy either - he's lost! He bursts into tears. A lady tries to help him but he can't explain what happened. At last Daddy Bear appears, and Little Bear is happy again.
14. Little Brown Bear Could Eat A Horse

Today Grampa and Granny Bear are coming to have dinner with the Brown Bears. Little Brown Bear helps to lay the table, but he's very hungry and he picks at the strawberry tart. When it's time for pudding they find a strawberry tart with no strawberries! And they can tell from Little Brown Bear's sticky face who was the little mouse who has already had his pudding!

Mrs White Bear and Little White Bear come to call. Little Brown Bear wants to get to know Little White Bear and they go to Little Brown Bear's room. But every time his new friend wants to borrow a toy, Little Brown Bear becomes very possessive.

Little Brown Bear is with his friend Little Grey Bear and it's very, very hot. They try to think of ways to keep cool, like putting ice cubes under their sun hats! Mummy Bear suggests getting out the plastic swimming pool: they think it's a great idea. But it's got a hole in it and deflates. Then clever daddy has an idea: the sprinkler! The little bears are delighted.

It's night-time. Little Brown Bear worries about wolves. Mummy Bear tells him to go and get his dressing-gown from his room. Little Brown Bear goes, and suddenly ... the house goes dark! Little Brown Bear panics. When the light comes back on, Mummy Bear and Little Brown Bear make quite sure that there isn't a wolf in the house ... until Little Brown Bear puts on his wolf mask!

Today the Brown Bear family are going to the farm, and Little Brown Bear is very excited. But when he finds himself face to face with a cow, he's not so sure!
