Despite Bong Hee and Ji Wook's arguments over cases where she's on the defense, and he's on the prosecution, Bong Hee decides to give a final verdict to a proposal set by Ji Wook. Eun Hyuk finally gets a chance with the love of his life. Hyun Soo, on the other hand, gets sentenced to a life-long relationship with a prison cell. The ending is happy for some and horrible for others, but here lies the end of a chapter of love that all started with a suspicious partner.

They go on their first date again.

He initially thinks it's because of how the previous suspects' parents bought Chief Jang, but he soon realizes that he was part of the rape case. Ji Wook's plan works, and he finds out where Chan Ho's body is located. Hyun Soo is one step closer to the justice he deserves to receive for the acts he's done in his life.

Chief Jang's apology to Bong Hee gives her a weird hunch, and it's confirmed as Hyun Soo disappears right after he confesses to the crimes he's committed. Ji Wook races to find Chief Jang and soon becomes part of the prosecutor's office again. Things are slowly getting back to how they were, and revenge towards Hyun Soo is soon going to roll out.

They talk about their past, and Ji Wook blames himself for why Bong Hee's father is accused of arson and murder. Bong Hee makes Chief Jang realize his mistakes, which ultimately leads them to bigger events that come their way soon.

Yoo Jung gets knocked out cold after getting into an encounter with Hyun Soo during his escape from hospital arrest. Ji Wook chases him down but backs out last minute. Ji Wook and Bong Hee visit the middle school of Hyun Soo to see more about his past and discover more things that help them on the case, which also paints a better picture of who Hyun Soo is.

A long night unexpectedly ends with Ji Hae, Yoo Jung, Bong Hee, Eun Hyuk, and Ji Wook staring at each other in front of Ji Hae's apartment. Ji Wook continues to help Hyun Soo recover his memories, as he tries to remember his past to fix things up with Bong Hee.

Bong Hee continues to live with Ji Hae.

Bong Hee is out to defend her loyal student, who lives a life similar to an orphan Harry Potter.

Yoo Jung, with the help of Ji Hae, continues to push her case against Hyun Soo. Hyun Soo seems to be mocking the law with the way he's been acting, and the prosecution doesn't appreciate it. Eun Hyuk is a crying shoulder for a heartbroken Bong Hee, which leads to a jealous and annoyed Ji Wook.
