Somewhere Between is a 2017 American television drama series that premiered on ABC. The show follows Laura Price, a San Francisco news producer who becomes determined to change the fate of her daughter, Serena. After Serena is murdered, Laura is unexpectedly given a second chance when she finds herself sent back in time to relive the week leading up to her daughter's death. With the knowledge of her daughter's impending doom, Laura must fight against the clock to track down the killer and prevent the tragedy from occurring once more.

The series stars Paula Patton as Laura Price, Devon Sawa as Nico Jackson, and Aria Birch as Serena Price. Paula Patton brilliantly portrays Laura as a determined, yet vulnerable woman who is driven by her love for her daughter. Devon Sawa delivers a strong, intense performance as Nico Jackson, a former cop who is willing to help Laura in her quest to save Serena. Aria Birch, despite her young age, impressively channels a range of emotions as Serena Price in a way that is both honest and authentic.

What makes Somewhere Between unique is its use of time travel and fate. Initially, Laura is skeptical of her situation and cannot understand how she has been given a second chance at life. However, as she relives each day, she begins to notice subtle differences in her surroundings and in the people around her. These differences give her the opportunity to make choices that may alter the course of her daughter's future. The show plays with the idea of fate and the consequences of trying to change the future.
