Watch Snowman

Snowman is a British animation based on the book of the same name by Raymond Briggs, which has become a British Christmas tradition for family members of all ages. Academy award nominated for the Best Short Film of 1982, the show tells the story of a boy who finds the snowman he builds on Christmas Eve magically comes to life and leads him on a night of adventures.

The unnamed boy builds the snowman during the day before heading back to his house for the night, looking into the garden in the middle of the night he finds the snowman has magically come to life. The boy takes the snowman into his house and helps him to understand the modern life he leads. In return, the snowman leads the boy on a journey that involves them flying over England to the North Pole for an encounter with a party held for snowmen by Santa Claus. The iconic song Walking in the Air accompanies their flight around Brighton pier and on into the English countryside.
