A life-drawing class comes to an early end when it's revealed that the life model Courtney Nash (Annalise Brackenseck) is actually a notorious criminal. She is also quite dead, and has been for some time. Can guest detective Hamish Blake draw himself away from the photo of the body long enough to solve the crime? Who knew Courtney aka Nikki Gleason, was a criminal on the run? Even so, what motive for murder could there be? Did husband and wife team Ern (Nicholas Bell) and Jean (Tracey Harvey) sign up for something more sinister than just the art class? Ern does have a temper and is capable of flying off the handle, could he also be capable of murder? Perhaps fellow classmate Duncan (Nick Farnell) with his healthy appetite for the ladies, also have an unhealthy appetite for murder? Or maybe the art teacher Bea (Heidi Arena,) an ex-nun, was harbouring some not so holy intentions.

Dan Kinsman (Blair McDonough) has been thrown a lifeline by his new footy club. He has been passing all his drug tests and seems to be on a winning path again. But during a training session he gets electrocuted on the treadmill. Is detective Colin Lane fit enough to solve this shocking murder? The club room is crawling with suspects. Was his teammate Cary (Nick Russell) ready to rub Dan out? Maybe it was Cary's impressionable girlfriend Rebecca (Emily Taheny) wanting to teach Dan a lesson. Perhaps his ambitious manager Robbie (Alan Brough) felt his time with Dan was over and that murder was his only way out. Or maybe his caring coach Mick (Francis Greenslade) wasn't so caring after all.

With a salon full of suspects, was her future mother-in-law, Pat (Annie Phelan) determined to protect her son at any cost? She made no secret of her dislike for Bridget. Or could one of the salon workers Jacqui (Kate Atkinson) or Annie (Leah Vandenberg) have been so put out by Bridget that they wanted to put her out for good? Or perhaps it was her good friend Louise (Jacqueline Brennan), tired of being tormented by Bridget, she got her revenge by basting the bride?
