Single and Anxious is an American web series that premiered on the streaming service Creative Thought Media in October 2020. The show, which is directed by Nate Adams, follows the lives of four young, single African American women as they navigate the ups and downs of love, career, and life in their mid-twenties.

The protagonist of the series is Jasmine, played by Milaya S. Gregory, a driven and ambitious young woman who is struggling to balance her career aspirations with her romantic endeavors. Jasmine is a successful marketing executive who is determined to climb the corporate ladder, but she finds herself constantly distracted by her on-again, off-again relationship with her ex-boyfriend.

Joining Jasmine in her quest for love and success are her three best friends: Ava, played by Daarinah Saafir, is a creative entrepreneur who is trying to launch her own fashion line; Brianna, played by Morie Williams, is a struggling actress who is tired of being typecast in stereotypical roles; and Tammy, played by Bridgette Bentley, is a college student who is focused on her studies but also looking for love.

Over the course of the series, the four women face a wide range of challenges and obstacles, both personal and professional. They deal with issues like jealousy, trust, infidelity, body image, and the pressure to conform to societal expectations. They also grapple with questions about what they really want out of life and whether they are willing to make sacrifices in order to achieve their goals.

Despite the serious themes and emotional stakes, the show also includes plenty of humor and lighthearted moments. Viewers will enjoy watching the witty banter and playful dynamics between the four main characters, as well as the colorful supporting cast of family members and love interests.

One of the main strengths of Single and Anxious is its realistic portrayal of modern relationships and dating culture. The show does not shy away from depicting the complexities and challenges of navigating romantic relationships in a world where technology has made it easier than ever to connect with others, but also harder to truly connect with someone on a deeper level.

Overall, Single and Anxious is a compelling and engaging series that packs a lot of heart and authenticity into its eight-episode run. With its relatable characters, sharp writing, and strong performances, it is a must-watch for anyone who has ever struggled with the ups and downs of young adulthood, love, and life in general.

Single and Anxious is a series that ran for 3 seasons (22 episodes) between December 18, 2016 and on Creative Thought Media
