Fifty years ago, four African American college students ordered coffee and, in effect, the end to segregation in the United States. Their sit-in demonstration at a North Carolina Woolworth's sparked a series of events that would help put an end to segregation in the United States. This is the extraordinary story of otherwise ordinary young men whose nonviolent sit-in at America's favorite five-and-dime store started a revolution that helped put an end to the Jim Crow laws of the South. They stood up to racism by taking a seat.
