Newton's Law is an Australian television series that premiered in 2017. The show follows Josephine Newton (played by Claudia Karvan), a successful Sydney barrister who takes a break from her high-powered legal career to start over in a new phase of her life. She returns to her home town of Ballarat, Victoria, where she sets up a small legal practice and starts to build a new life for herself.
