Soldiers testing out an experimental time machine travel to the distant future only to find a wasteland inhabited by monstrous creatures. After they escape back to the present they are horrified to discover the murderous mutants have managed to steal the key to the device. In order to stop them the government recruits Dr. Radnor, the inventor of the time machine.
