The ray of GENESIS destroys the Alliance’s lunar base. Earth might be next. The Alliance tries to retaliate with nuclear missiles. Kira and the group fight hard between the both forces. Meanwhile, Azrael on the Dominion attempts to sink the Archangel.

48. Day of Wrath
September 13, 2003
The gamma-ray of GENESIS destroys the front line of the Alliance fleet. It could take aim and easily be fired at Earth. Kira and the group set out to the final battlefield to stop the war of mass slaughter. Rau also launches in the new Providence Gundam.

47. The Nightmare Reborn
September 6, 2003
The Alliance now acquired the technology of the N-Jammer Canceller, and their nuclear missiles are shipped up into space. Kira and Athrun prevent them from hitting the PLANTs. The enraged ZAFT leader orders to activate the Gamma-Ray Superweapon “GENESIS.”

46. A Place for the Soul

While the battle resumes between the Archangel and the Dominion, Rau releases Flay in an escape pod. Kira fails to recover her, and Multa Azrael, the Blue Cosmos leader, obtains the specs for the N-Jammer Canceller which allows the use of nuclear energy.

45. The Opening Door
August 16, 2003
As they engage in a gunfight, Rau reveals a shocking truth to Kira and Mu that these 3 men were results of genetic engineering experiments to create “best” Coordinators. Later, Rau entrusts Flay with a disk which he calls the “final door” to end the war.

44. Spiral of Encounters
August 9, 2003
The Dominion attacks to destroy the Archangel, which barely manages to escape the crisis.
Meanwhile, Mu and Dearka sense ZAFT is inside the colony, so they go to intercept. Rau appears on his new MS GuAIZ, and the fated confrontation with Mu begins.

43. What Stands in the Way
August 2, 2003
The battleship Dominion heads for the L4 colony cluster to sink the Archangel. Its captain is Natarle who has to fight her former comrades. The Archangel, Kusanagi and Eternal arrive at the abandoned colony Mendel, where Cagalli tries to comfort Athrun.

42. Lacus Strikes
July 26, 2003
Athrun is arrested for treason by his own father, but rescued by Lacus’ supporter group. They steal the new mobile suit support ship Eternal and escape from PLANT. The Archangel, Kusanagi, and Eternal gather as an independent military force under Lacus.

41. Trembling World
July 19, 2003
At the PLANTs, Lacus uses pirate radio broadcast to speak out against the war. Chairman Zala is unable to control her influence. The Earth Alliance reclaims the Victoria Base, a way to go out to space, as they are planning a massive invasion of PLANTs.

40. Into the Dawn Skies
July 12, 2003
Orb requests peace talks, but the Earth Alliance has already decided to invade Orb. Uzumi Nara Athha has no choice but to abandon the Island and evacuate the citizens. The Orb’s mass driver facility launches the Archangel and warship Kusanagi into space.

39. Athrun

Freedom Gundam fights the Earth Alliance’s 3 latest Gundams. Athrun appears piloting Justice Gundam and assists KIra on his own free will. On Onogoro Island waters, however, the Alliance starts a major offense and deploys the mass-produced MS in droves.

38. Decisive Fire
June 28, 2003
With the loss of the mass driver, the Atlantic Federation and the Blue Cosmos leader take measures against Orb, even demanding the Orb’s government’s dissolution. Otherwise the nation will be viewed as a ZAFT supporter and be attacked by the Alliance.

37. Divine Thunder
June 21, 2003
The Archangel heads for Orb to repair the damage, whereas the Earth Alliance pressures the neutral nation to join forces against ZAFT. Meanwhile, the ZAFT’s MS troops fill the ground in preparation to destroy the Alliance’s last mass driver in Panama.

36. In the Name of Justice

The report of Operation Spit Break’s failure reaches the ZAFT’s top brasses. Patrick Zala orders his son Athrun to eliminate Lacus, his fiance, and anyone else connected to the theft of Freedom Gundam. He heads to Earth in Justice Gundam to face Kira.

35. The Descending Sword

In Alaska, the ZAFT forces are gaining a huge advantage in battle. The Alliance’s plan was to lure in ZAFT and destroy them with the Cyclops System set up underground. As the Archangel tries hard to escape, there appears Freedom Gundam piloted by Kira.

34. Seen and Unseen
May 31, 2003
The Archangel is to defend JOSH-A in Alaska. As the ZAFT forces gather in the Earth orbit, Chairman Patrick Zala commences “Operation Spit Break” to quickly end the war. Lacus gives Kira the ZAFT’s latest suit, Freedom Gundam, developed as “a new sword.”

33. Gathering Darkness

In Alaska, the Archangel is in a fierce battle with the ZAFT forces. The MS troops loom and surge forward. The main force of the Alliance were sent to the Panama defense so obviously they are facing a challenge.

32. In the Promised Land
May 17, 2003
The Archangel finally arrives at the Earth Alliance HQ in Alaska (JOSH-A). But the crew isn’t allowed to disembark. At the ZAFT’s Carpentaria Base, Athrun is appointed to pilot the new Justice Gundam while Kira wakes up in the Clyne’s mansion in a PLANT.

31. Grieving Skies
May 10, 2003
After Strike Gundam and Aegis Gundam exploded, the ZAFT’s pursuit is closing in on the severely damaged Archangel. The Orb team finds the wreckage of Strike Gundam but rescues Athrun who’s been unconscious in the water after ejected from Aegis Gundam.

30. Flashing Blades
May 3, 2003
Kira strikes down Blitz Gundam killing Nicol Amalfi, and the Zala Team is shaken with grief. Athrun blames himself and vows that he will kill Kira no matter what. In the following battle, Athrun’s Aegis Gundam engages in single combat with Strike Gundam.

29. The Turning Point
April 26, 2003
Athrun’s Team is outside the Orb territorial waters, waiting for the repaired Archangel to sail out. Cagalli decides to stay behind due to her father’s words. As soon as the Archangel is out in the neutral territory, the four Gundams launch and attack.

28. Kira
April 19, 2003
The Archangel’s student crew meets with their parents in the Orb HQ. Flay has no visitors with the loss of her father and gets mad at Kira when he also refuses to see his parents. Actually he’s too afraid of asking them why they made him a Coordinator.

27. Endless Rondo
April 12, 2003
Inside the Orb’s dock, technicians work on repairs to the Archangel. Engineer Erica Simmons is stunned by Kira’s high ability. Cagalli explains that the peaceful country Orb does not invade, does not allow invasion, and maintain its neutral position.

26. Moment
March 29, 2003
Through the good offices of Murrue, the student crew are able to meet with their parents within the Orb headquarters. Parents and children are reunited after a long time and they check each other

25. Land of Peace
March 22, 2003
After Cagalli and Athrun are each recovered by their ally, the Archangel and the 4 Gundams of Zala Team fight a fierce battle near the Orb’s territorial border. Cagalli identifies herself to the Orb fleet as the daughter of their leader Uzumi Nara Athha.

24. War for Two
March 15, 2003
Cagalli’s Skygrasper shoots down the transport plane carrying Aegis Gundam and crash-lands on a small island. She encounters Athrun on the beach. They end up sitting together as they wait for rescue. At night they awkwardly tell each other’s life story.

23. Fateful Encounter
March 8, 2003
Rau appoints Athrun as leader of the Archangel pursuit team instead of himself. Yzak and Dearka decide to wait and see what Athrun’s made of. Meanwhile, Morassim Team relentlessly attacks the Archangel from below with the underwater mobile suit ZnO.

22. The Sea Dyed Red
March 1, 2003
The Archangel defeats Waldfeld and moves on to Alaska. Cagalli of the Desert Dawn comes aboard and has a rivalry with Flay for Kira’s affection. Their brief peace is broken by Morassim’s Team of the ZAFT forces of aerial MS DINNs and underwater MS GOOhNs

21. The End of the Sandstorm
February 22, 2003
Strike Gundam and the Archangel, defeating Waltfeld after a fierce fight, take course towards Alaska. Cagalli of the “Desert Dawn” insists that she is needed on the ship and invites herself to come aboard the Archangel.

20. On a Calm Day
February 15, 2003
Yzak and Dearka, who were in the Gibraltar Base, join forces with the Lesseps. Towards the battle against the Archangel, “Desert Tiger” Waltfeld accepts the reinforcement thinking more force the better.

19. Fangs of the Enemy
February 8, 2003
Kira and Cagalli go to the city where the ZAFT base is located. They amicably meet Waldfeld the Desert Tiger there. Kira helps him when the anti-Coordinator terrorists, Blue Cosmos, attack. Waldfeld brings Kira and Cagalli to his palace to thank them.

18. Payback
February 1, 2003
Waldfeld’s squad attacks Tassil, the town where the rebels reside, and burns it down in flames. However, with their prior warning, there were no casualties. A few rebels, thirsty for revenge, leave and chase after the BuCUEs, recklessly in their buggies.

17. Cagalli Returns
January 25, 2003
The “Desert Dawn” guerillas helped Strike Gundam to repulse the ZAFT’s ground squad. Kira recognizes Cagalli Yula Athha among the rebels. With the fall of the Alliance’s stronghold, the Archangel has to go through the Red Sea on their way to Alaska.

16. Burning Sandstorm

With the help from the “Desert Dawn” guerillas, Strike Gundam was able to repulse the attacking force of the BuCUEs led by Waltfeld. After daybreak, other members of Desert Dawn guerillas join the Archangel.

15. Respective Solitudes
January 11, 2003
The Archangel landed on the desert in North Africa. Without any time to relax, they are attacked by the ZAFT forces at night. They are the elite ground squad led by Andrew Waltfeld, also known as the “Desert Tiger.”

14. Within Endless Time
January 4, 2003
Upon atmospheric re-entry, to save Strike Gundam after the battle with Duel Gundam, the Archangel was diverted off course and have ended up in Africa, which is ZAFT territory.

13. Stars Falling in Space
December 28, 2002
On the Earth’s orbit, a fierce battle has started between the Earth Alliance’s 8th Fleet and the ZAFT forces. The Archangel offers to descend to Earth as a decoy since they’re the ZAFT’s main target. Kira launches as he’s determined to protect the ship.

12. Flay's Decision
December 21, 2002
The Archangel joins the Earth Alliance’s 8th Fleet. The ship is now heading to Alaska where the headquarter is located. While those enlisted for convenience leave the crew, Flay says she wants to join the army so she can carry on her father’s will.

11. The Awakening Sword
December 14, 2002
Kira returns to the Archangel. Flay hears the pilot who killed her father is his close friend, but she apologizes to Kira for some reason. Just then, the 3 Gundams of the ZAFT forces attack them before it rendezvouses with the Earth Alliance’s fleet.

10. Separate Ways
December 7, 2002
The Archangel fended off ZAFT ship Vesalius by using Lacus as hostage, but Flay became frantic, blaming Kira for her father’s death. Kira decides to hand over Lacus to Athrun, and It’s the fourth time Strike Gundam and Aegis Gundam face each other.

9. The Fading Light
November 30, 2002
The life of George Allster, Vice Foreign Minister of the Atlantic Federation, is in jeopardy under the attack of ZAFT forces, and Flay Allster aboard the Archangel drags Lacus Clyne to the bridge and tries to save her father in exchange for Lacus’ life.

8. Songstress of the Enemy Forces
November 23, 2002
In the escape pod rescued in the Debris Belt are a girl and a robot – Lacus Clyne and Haro. She is the daughter of the PLANT Supreme Council Chairman, Siegel Clyne. Around the same time, Athrun is summoned to conduct a search for Lacus Clyne, his fiance.

7. The Scar of Space
November 16, 2002
The Archangel forages for water in the Debris Belt. They are shocked to find themselves in the ruins of Junius Seven, so the crew decides to hold a memorial. As they are excavating ice found around the ruin, a ZAFT mobile suit attacks, but Kira dispatches him. Kira finds a floating lifepod and takes it aboard.

6. The Vanishing Gundam
November 9, 2002
The Archangel takes refuge in the fortress Artemis. However, the crew is met with the muzzles of the supposedly allied soldiers. Around the same time, ZAFT’s Blitz Gundam uses the Mirage Colloid stealth system to sneak near the Earth Alliance’s fortress.

5. Phase Shift Down
November 2, 2002
The four Gundams stolen by the ZAFT force loom in front of the launching Strike Gundam. Kira and Athrun face each other once again. Meanwhile, the preceding Mu La Flaga, an Earth Alliance lieutenant, conducts a surprise attack on the ZAFT ship Vesalius.

4. Silent Run
October 26, 2002
The Archangel heads for the fortress Artemis, but Rau plans to block their route. Athrun intends to convince Kira to join him by threatening to strike him down if he refuses. Kira, however, decides to pilot Strike Gundam to fight against the ZAFT forces.

3. Collapsing Land
October 19, 2002
After he fends off Rau Le Creuset, a ZAFT commander, Kira lands on the Archangel. Since Kira rewrote the OS of Strike Gundam, no one else is able to operate it. He refuses to pilot (saying he hates war) but is forced to launch as the enemy approaches.

2. Its Name is Gundam
October 12, 2002
Athrun escapes on Aegis Gundam while Kira and Murrue Ramius of the Earth Alliance flee on Strike Gundam. Kira controls the MS and defeats GINN. Meanwhile Natarle Badgiruel, an Alliance ensign, activates the assault ship Archangel with its remaining crews.

11 months into the war, a neutral satellite is invaded by a ZAFT team of MS GINNs. They steal 3 of 5 Gundams, prototype suits developed by the Earth Alliance. College student Kira Yamato is attacked by his childhood friend Athrun Zala, a ZAFT soldier.
