It's an all in elimination and no wants to go home. There are four contestants and only three spots in the coveted Semi Final. Contestants have two black cloches in front of them, after the first cloche is revealed, they are asked to choose to cook either sweet or savoury with the ingredient they can see or the one they can't see. It's a gamble to save their place in the competition.

The Top 4 contestants enter the MasterChef kitchen to find the judges standing in front of four doors, each displaying travel photographs and in front of them, a cloche. Hidden beneath each judge's cloche is a mystery ingredient inspired by the judges' travels. Each contestant must choose which cloche they want to select before the judges reveal what they will be cooking with.
