Love It or List It is a home renovation and real estate show, originally aired on HGTV in 2008. Starring Hilary Farr and David Visentin, the show follows homeowners who are struggling with the decision to either renovate their current home or leave it and find a new one.

Hilary works with a team of contractors to redesign and renovate the home, while David takes the homeowners to different properties, showing them the potential of a new home.

The show consists of different segments in which both Hilary and David meet separately with the homeowners to evaluate their preferences and showcase their respective plans. They then work together to manage the budget, as they try to come up with the best solution to satisfy the homeowners' needs. The show plays on the tension caused by having two different opinions about whether to renovate or leave the home.
