Let's Get Physical is a comedy series that follows the protagonist, Joe (Matt Jones), a slacker who is stuck in a rut after the passing of his father. Joe's father was a famous aerobics pro, and he left behind a multi-million dollar inheritance, but only if Joe competes in and wins this year's aerobics competition. Joe, who is physically unfit and hasn't spoken to his father in years, has to compete against his father's arch-rivals and his own siblings.

The series takes place in New Jersey, where Joe lives a carefree life as a pizza delivery boy. He has always shunned the limelight and never took any interest in his father's famous aerobics gym. All that changes when his dad's widow, Janet (Jane Seymour), shows up with some bad news: Joe will only inherit his father's fortune if he wins the upcoming championships.

Joe has an even bigger problem than inheriting the money, though. His siblings, his former best friend, and his father's old rival, Barry Cross (Chris Diamantopoulos), are determined to win the aerobics championship, leaving Joe with very little chance of success.
