Kirby Allison is guided on a tour of the Joh. Rendenbach Tannery by Hanns Redenbach. The factory has been creating oak bark tanned, leather for over a century. The traditional method of oak-bark tanning has prevailed through four generations of leathermaking. Hanns was kind enough to show us the process that the leather goes through to actually be considered an official JR Leather Outsole.
