Jungle Queen: 2K Restored Special Edition from 1945 is an action-packed adventure movie set in the heart of the African jungle. The film tells the story of Lothel (Lois Collier), the daughter of explorer Dr. John Meredith (Edward Keane), who is on a mission to find the lost city of Zimbalu. After her father is murdered by the evil Queen Malaka (Ruth Roman), Lothel must navigate the treacherous jungle with the aid of Tarzan-like hero Bwana (Edward Norris) and the native tribe of Wazuri to find the city and seek revenge for her father's death.

This newly-restored edition of Jungle Queen features enhanced picture and sound quality that make the film even more exciting to watch. The stunning scenery of the African jungle is brought to life through vivid visuals that transport viewers to a world of lush greenery, towering trees, and rushing rivers. The exotic animal life of the jungle, from crocodiles to gorillas, is also prominently featured throughout the movie, adding an element of danger and unpredictability to the already thrilling story.

The cast of Jungle Queen delivers standout performances, particularly Collier in the lead role of Lothel. Her strong and independent character is a refreshing departure from the typical damsel-in-distress trope of many adventure films from this era. Her chemistry with Norris as Bwana is also a highlight of the movie, with their banter and playful teasing adding a sense of fun to the overall tone. Roman's portrayal of the villainous Queen Malaka is suitably menacing, with her sharp features and piercing gaze making her a formidable adversary for the heroes to overcome.

The action in Jungle Queen is non-stop, with the characters frequently finding themselves in perilous situations that require them to rely on their physical prowess and quick thinking to survive. There are plenty of fight scenes, both between characters and against the various animals of the jungle, as well as thrilling chase sequences that keep the adrenaline pumping. The film also features some impressively choreographed stunts that showcase the athleticism of the actors.

In addition to the high-octane action, Jungle Queen also contains subtle commentary on issues such as colonialism and cultural appropriation. The portrayal of the Wazuri tribe, with their unique customs and language, stands in contrast to the more stereotypical depictions of African tribes in other films from this time period. The film also raises questions about the ethics of Western explorers venturing into unfamiliar territories and attempting to make them their own.

Overall, Jungle Queen: 2K Restored Special Edition from 1945 is a thrilling and engaging adventure movie that is sure to delight fans of the genre. With its stunning visuals, strong performances, and non-stop action, it's a classic that has stood the test of time and remains just as exciting to watch today as it was when it was first released. This newly-restored edition is a must-see for any movie enthusiast looking for an adrenaline-fueled journey into the heart of the African jungle.
