Watch Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Jimmy Kimmel Live! is a late-night talk show that premiered on ABC in 2003. Hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, the show features a mix of comedy sketches, celebrity interviews, musical performances, and topical discussions on current events. One of the show's longest-running segments is "Mean Tweets," in which celebrities read real, often vicious tweets about themselves aloud on-air. The segment has become so popular that it has spawned its own spinoff shows and even a book.

Another recurring segment is "Lie Witness News," in which the show's crew sets up elaborate fake news stories and then interviews people on the street to get their reactions. The segment highlights both the gullibility of some people and the willingness of others to play along with a joke.

Guillermo Rodriguez, a longtime friend and assistant to Kimmel, also plays a prominent role on the show. He often serves as Kimmel's sidekick and comedic foil, popping up in sketches and helping with interviews.

Dicky Barrett, lead singer of the ska punk band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, serves as the show's announcer and occasionally performs musical numbers with his band.

In addition to its regular segments, Jimmy Kimmel Live! has also become known for its viral moments. One such moment occurred in 2017, when Kimmel tearfully discussed his newborn son's heart surgery and used the moment to advocate for healthcare reform.

Overall, Jimmy Kimmel Live! has become a mainstay of late-night television, providing viewers with a mix of humor, entertainment, and social commentary.
