Green Frontier is a Colombian Netflix Original series directed by Ciro Guerra and Laura Mora, starring Marcela Mar as the lead character, Yua. The show centers around a group of investigators sent to the Amazonian jungle to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. The first episode begins with the investigation of a body found on the border between Brazil and Colombia. Juliana (Juana del Rio) and her colleague, Lieutenant Pedro Alvarez (Nelson Camayo), make their way to the area and meet with the local police. They discover that the body is that of a native girl, whom the police dismiss, claiming that she was a drug addict.

Juliana does not believe the local police, and when she notices similarities with older cases, she decides to team up with Yua, a local indigenous policewoman. Yua helps them get further into the jungle, where they find testimony about the girl's death. They then discover that there are more deaths in the area that have been covered up by the locals.

Green Frontier delves into environmental issues as the story progresses. The jungle is threatened by gold mining and the production of coca leaves. Yua, who is a member of an indigenous tribe, is concerned about the harm that humans are causing to the environment. She also believes that her tribe knows how to protect the jungle and its resources better than anybody else.

Throughout the show, the characters face both physical and spiritual challenges as they investigate these deaths. They encounter mystical elements of the culture and religion of the indigenous people. This adds a supernatural aspect to the show, which keeps the audience on their toes.
