Dr. Lisa Rude, a historian, and chef, prepares dishes from notable events and then explores interesting stories behind both the dish and the historical events from which they came. DinnerTime was created by veteran, television producer, Taylor Cisco, and is produced in partnership with the non-profit organization, Cisco & Cisco Productions.

In the premiere episode of DinnerTime, Dr. Lisa Rude discusses John F. Kennedy's address to nation regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis, and visits Duluth, MN to learn about a rather unique, domestic reaction to that alarming news, and then show us how to make the entree served at the dinner party Kennedy attended after making his televised speech.
