Dancing Fools is a dancing show that combines America's funniest home videos with So You Think You Can Dance. During the first half of the show, host Melissa Peterman (Reba) provides voice-overs for clips of viral dance videos found around the internet. During the second half of the program, participants from two of those clips participate in a live dance off. The audience then votes for the dancing team it likes the best. The winning team goes home with 10,000.

Peterman keeps the show running with corny banter and self-deprecating humor. A group of dancers called "the dancing fools" dances during the breaks to keep the action going. Peterman is also joined by DJ Guy Torry, who plays the straightman to Peterman's comic persona.
