Cyborg is a fascinating and thought-provoking show produced by Gala Media and Jennifer Athena Galatis in 2015. It is a mixed-media performance that combines live action, puppetry, and animation to tell the story of a teenage girl named Ada who becomes a cyborg following a car accident.

The show takes place in a dystopian future where technology has overrun humanity, and it explores themes such as identity, humanity, and the relationship between humans and machines. Ada's journey is a metaphor for the struggle we all face as we try to find our place in a world that is constantly changing.

The performance is highly theatrical, with a set that is visually stunning and immersive. The stage is transformed into a futuristic laboratory, complete with screens and projections that showcase the inner workings of Ada's cyborg body. The puppets are expertly crafted, with intricate details and lifelike movements, adding to the immersive experience.

The show's soundtrack is equally impressive, with a mix of electronic music and live instruments that help to transport the audience into the world of the show. The lighting design is also noteworthy, with its careful balance of light and shadow adding depth and atmosphere to the performance.

As Ada navigates her new existence as a cyborg, she struggles with questions of identity and self-worth. The show explores these themes through Ada's interactions with the other characters in the story, both human and machine. Her relationship with her father, a scientist who created the technology that saved her life, is particularly compelling, as they grapple with the implications of his invention.

Throughout the show, Ada grapples with the fact that she is no longer fully human, and the audience is left to ponder what it really means to be human. Is it our physical bodies that define us, or something deeper? Cyborg raises these questions but doesn't provide easy answers, leaving the audience to draw their own conclusions.

Overall, Cyborg is a visually stunning and emotionally engaging performance that explores complex themes with nuance and depth. It is a must-see for anyone interested in science fiction, technology, and the human condition.
