An elegant figure boards the shuttle train to London, painfully aware of the stares she receives from men. She also impresses the bankers at Maynard Gideon, particularly Daniel Stern who, unaware that she is a nun, is fascinated by her. But Tyler is skeptical, and Anna leaves uncertain whether she has managed to buy a little time for the mill until they can get their new yarns established.

When Beattie arrives, he is acutely embarrassed to find "his" mill represented by a nun and does his best to sabotage Anna's attempts to buy quality wools.

Used to driving tractors at the convent, she relishes the experience of driving her brother's Aston Martin - although her nephew is somewhat embarrassed at being dropped off at school by his aunt in her habit.
