Atlantis is a fantasy television series that premiered on BBC America in 2013. The show is based on the myths and legends of the city of Atlantis, and follows the adventures of a young man named Jason as he finds himself transported to the ancient city. The series is set in the ancient world, with Jason (played by Jack Donnelly) as the protagonist. He is a young British man who discovers a mysterious portal that transports him to the ancient city of Atlantis. Jason teams up with two friends, Pythagoras (Robert Emms) and Hercules (Mark Addy), and together they face a number of challenges and dangers as they explore the city and its surrounding areas.
