An Indiana dog rescue agrees to take every dog at Cross Critters Rescue, leaving the Cross family with sudden, unexpected downtime, and Danielle holds a yard sale to raise funds for animal vaccines.

Danielle explains her extensive list of animal allergies, Patrick enters the Nashville Chili cook-off, Corona the calf needs a serious hoof repair, a stray poodle in desperate need of a shearing finds its way to Cross Critters and whole lot of flea-infested puppies living under an abandoned house need rescuing.

Danielle relocates a horse to a new foster family, Patrick loses a bet and has to shave his beard, Cross Critters takes in two dogs rescued from a dog-fighting ring, and a new batch of rescue puppies has the worst flea infestation the rescue has ever seen.

Cross Critters mascot Patty the pig gets a forever home, Danielle adopts a Macaw, a stubborn mule refuses to leave his back yard, a massive spay and neuter day stretches the resources of the rescue, and Patrick throws Danielle a surprise party.
