Shakespeare's tale of England's legendary warrior king, in a new independent guerilla-style production that reveals the ruthlessness and blind ambition of England's folk hero, restoring aspects of Shakespeare's play that are ignored in other film productions. Henry is revealed to be ruthless and cunning, more in tune with Shakespeare's other ambitious tragic heros, and lending a new depth to the understanding of the complex character of Henry, and his profound transformation on the eve of the Battle of Agincourt. Pistol plays a larger role in this production, revealing the more humanistic aspect of the play that are cut in other productions, giving a glimpse into the more balanced sensibility of Shakespeare's notions of character. Henry's unheroic moments, such as the threats on civilians at Harfleur, and his ordering of the massacre of French prisoners are important parts of the play that have been cut out of the other film productions, and are given their full weight in this complex characterization.
