Recipient of the 1943 Oscar TM for Documentary Feature, the Fighting Lady is an educational and entertaining look at life aboard a US aircraft carrier during World War Two. It follows what has now been identified as the USS Yorktown through the mundane daily routines of a sailor to the infamous Marianas "turkey shoot".
