Videoman is a psychological thriller movie that premiered in 2018. It is directed by Kristian A. Söderström and stars Stefan Sauk, Lena Nilsson, Morgan Alling, and a host of other talented actors. The movie focuses on Ennio Midena (Stefan Sauk), a VHS collector and a loner who is struggling with the past that he couldn’t leave behind. He lives in an apartment in Stockholm and spends his days scouring flea markets, thrift stores, and garage sales for rare VHS tapes. The movie begins with Ennio visiting a thrift store where he meets his ex-girlfriend Simone (Lena Nilsson) who is preparing for her upcoming wedding. Ennio is still infatuated with Simone and is unable to let go of the relationship they once had.

As Ennio walks around the store, he finds a rare VHS tape that he has been searching for a long time. However, he is unable to afford the asking price for the tape but secures a deal that he will pay for it in installments. His excitement is cut short when he is confronted by a group of thugs who demand that he hands over the tape. In the ensuing fight, Ennio manages to slip away and escape the thugs.

The next day, Ennio is visited by a police detective (Morgan Alling) who asks him about the altercation the day before. Ennio feels harassed but the detective insists that he is there to help. The detective informs him that the owner of the thrift store was brutally murdered and Ennio is a prime suspect.

In his attempts to clear his name, Ennio uncovers a series of clues that lead him to believe that the VHS tape he had been searching for is somehow connected to the murder. In his quest for the truth, Ennio’s obsession with the VHS tapes and his past becomes more and more pronounced. He becomes increasingly paranoid and delusional, seeing himself in the movies he watches.

One of the strong points of this movie is its cinematography. The movie is set in the 1980s and the dark and gritty feel of the film perfectly captures the ambiance of that era. The use of the VHS tapes as the central theme of the movie is also noteworthy. The tapes provide a unique perspective on Ennio's past and his obsession with them sets up the plot nicely.

The acting in Videoman is also outstanding. Stefan Sauk’s portrayal of Ennio Midena is a standout performance that perfectly captures the character’s inner turmoil. The movie also benefits from strong performances by Lena Nilsson as Simone and Morgan Alling as the detective.

The director Kristian A. Söderström does an excellent job of keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. The plot twists and turns in unexpected ways, and we are never sure what will happen next. The film's pacing is excellent and every scene is necessary for the plot's development.

Overall, Videoman is a must-watch for fans of psychological thrillers. The movie will keep you guessing until the very end, and the performances and cinematography come together to create a memorable and haunting experience.

Videoman is a 2019 thriller with a runtime of 93 hours. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.8.
