Doris the hunter gets bitten by a vampire while battling monsters. She encounters Vampire Hunter D on a road after her ordeal. Doris' instinct was to attack him which soon changed to enlisting his aid after she had taken action. Hunter D discovers that he is tracking a ten thousand year old vampire from the noble house of Lee. Vampire Lee sent his minions to fight Hunter D, and bring Doris to him. The mayor’s son Greco, from the same village as Doris, reveals her secret to the villagers. He becomes involved in the conflict to persuade Doris to become his woman.
