The icy winter is the worst the mountain towns has seen ever. There is famine, illness, treacherous floods, and record snow falls defining the way of life. This phenomenon cannot be explained by scientists or doctors, and they are desperate to resolve the matter. When the dying town discovers across the mountain range other towns are healthy, have plenty of food, and have a prosperity of fortune, they decide to investigate. Twelve riders are sent to find answers. When they get close to the truth, they realize they must stop the other town from prospering before their town dies off.
