This wonderfully endearing motion picture tells the coming of age tale of a young girl who has reached a point in her life which everyone her age experiences. 15 year old Alma is a normal teenager who lives in the Scandinavian town of Skoddenheimen, Norway. She has reached the age in her life in which everything seems to revolve around her hormones, and the illicit sexual desires that they yield. Images in Alma's mind portray her developing a wonderful romance with the boy of her dreams, Artur. Other images in her mind yield sexual fantasies with just about every other boy she comes in contact with.
