Tonto Basin Outlaws is a classic Western film released in 1941. Directed by S. Roy Luby, the movie features Ray Corrigan, John 'Dusty' King, and Max Terhune in the lead roles. The story is based on a group of outlaws who plan a bank robbery in Tonto Basin, a small town in Arizona. The gang leader, Jack Saunders (played by Charles King), is a notorious criminal who has been wanted by the law for a long time. Jack and his men, including Bill Cook (played by Steve Clark) and their secret partner, lay out a plan to rob the bank and escape to Mexico.

Meanwhile, a group of cowboys are in town, including Tucson Smith (Ray Corrigan), Stony Brooke (John 'Dusty' King), and Lullaby Joslin (Max Terhune). They are there to participate in a rodeo competition and to visit their old friend, Sheriff Smoky (played by William Farnum).

As soon as the cowboys arrive in Tonto Basin, they sense that something is not right. They learn about the planned bank robbery and immediately inform the sheriff. However, they soon realize that they need to take matters into their own hands when they discover that their friend, Sheriff Smoky, has been kidnapped by the gang.

What follows is an action-packed adventure as the cowboys try to save their friend and stop the outlaws from fleeing with the loot. The film features thrilling chase scenes, gunfights, and daring stunts that keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Tonto Basin Outlaws also has several subplots that add depth to the characters and the story. For instance, Tucson Smith has a romantic interest in Ann (played by Lorraine Miller), who happens to be the daughter of the bank manager. Ann's father is against her relationship with Tucson, citing his dangerous lifestyle as the reason.

Additionally, the film also highlights the issue of racial discrimination. One of the cowboys, Lullaby Joslin, is a ventriloquist who performs with his dummy, Elmer. However, the townsfolk are not keen on seeing him perform as they believe that Elmer is a representation of African Americans. Lullaby and his friends must fight against this prejudice and prove that everyone deserves equal respect.

Overall, Tonto Basin Outlaws is a classic Western movie that delivers on all fronts. It has a captivating story, memorable characters, and excellent performances by the cast. The film is a must-watch for fans of the genre and showcases the best of Hollywood's Golden Age.
