Tonight or Never is a 1931 musical romantic comedy starring the illustrious and glamorous screen diva of the era, Gloria Swanson. Directed by Mervyn LeRoy, the film is set in 1913 Vienna and follows the love story of a renowned opera singer, Bianca, who is determined to sacrifice her career solely for the love of a man, Tonio. To prove her love to Tonio, Bianca devises an audacious plan with Bruno to stage an opera that is sure to leave him swooning for her. She chooses the role of a vulnerable and fragile ingenue who is desperately in love with her male lead, Tonio. With Bruno's help, Bianca manages to trick and impress Tonio, and he falls head over heels for her.
