Detective Wes Block is struggling to keep his mind right while dealing with a serial killer on the loose and the estrangement of his wife, who is also the mother of his two young girls. The clock is running down and Wes needs to catch this maniac, because his crimes are becoming ever more brazen and desperate. Being the lead detective on the case gets all the attention put on Wes when the press wants a quote to put on the evening news. All the mounting stress draws to a climax when the killer begins to make his spree personal.
