The Toxic Crusaders Movie is a 1997 animated comedy film that serves as a continuation of the Toxic Crusaders TV series. Directed by Bill Hutton and produced by Lloyd Kaufman, the movie features the voice talents of Gregg Berger, John Mariano, and Susan Blu, among others. The story follows the Toxic Crusaders, a group of mutated superheroes who fight against pollution and environmental destruction. Led by the handsome and powerful Toxie (Berger), the team consists of Junkyard (Mariano), No-Zone (Blu), Headbanger (Michael J. Reynolds), and Major Disaster (Rodger Bumpass). Together, they must stop the evil Dr. Killemoff (Mark Lindsay Chapman) and his army of pollution monsters from taking over the world.
The movie begins with the Toxic Crusaders attending the inauguration of the first eco-friendly chemical plant in Tromaville, their hometown. However, their celebration is cut short when Killemoff kidnaps Toxie's love interest, Yvonne (Heather Locklear), and threatens to turn her into a pollution monster. To rescue her, Toxie and his friends travel to the Arctic Circle, where Killemoff's lair is located.
On their journey, the Toxic Crusaders encounter various obstacles and adversaries, including a giant octopus, a tribe of Eskimos, and Killemoff's henchmen, the Smoguloids. Meanwhile, Yvonne tries to escape from Killemoff's clutches and learns the truth about his plans to destroy the environment.
As the Toxic Crusaders approach Killemoff's lair, they discover that he has already unleashed a powerful pollution bomb that will destroy the entire planet. In a thrilling final battle, the heroes must use all their skills and gadgets to defeat Killemoff and save the world.
Overall, The Toxic Crusaders Movie is a fun and action-packed adventure that delivers on the absurd humor and environmental message of the original TV series. The animation is colorful and energetic, and the voice acting is top-notch, with Berger bringing both charisma and vulnerability to Toxie and Mariano and Blu providing comic relief as Junkyard and No-Zone, respectively. While the plot may be predictable and the villains cheesy, the movie's heart and charm make it a must-watch for fans of '90s cartoons and ecological awareness.
