Mùi is an orphan girl who goes to work for a prominent family. She serenely notices every detail of the family's life. She works hard for them and becomes like a daughter to the lady of the house. The husband takes off frequently and eventually leaves with all the money. Mùi then goes to work for one of the son's friends. Like her previous job, she peacefully works hard and notices everything. She becomes close to this employer as well.
